Dr Kieran Lees is the founder and CEO of Kielder with international leadership experience across a wide range of high-performance organisations. He specialises in organisational strategy, leadership development and team effectiveness based on rigorous academic research and practical executive experience.
Kieran has a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Henley Business School for his research into teamship and cohesiveness in high-performing teams. He also has MSc with Distinction in Business Research Methods (Henley Business School) and an MBA with Distinction from University of Southampton Business School) reflecting his expertise and commitment to excellence.
At the University of Southampton Business School Kieran leads the highly respected MBA Leadership Development Programme which he designed and delivers with a hand-picked team of domain experts. This programme, accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) focuses on self-awareness, group dynamics, leadership styles and organisational purpose to significantly enhance the effectiveness and strategic impact of senior leaders.
Throughout his career Kieran has held senior leadership roles across a wide range of organisations including executive board roles at listed companies, and founder roles in technology and consulting start-ups.
His experience spans large corporations and major institutions including interim CEO of the German Rugby Union, as well as Global VP of Sales and Marketing at Lombard Risk Management, Managing Director EMEA at Capillary Technologies, and senior leadership roles at Oracle and Sun Microsystems.
